GEM was awarded a Phase II option under NAVAIR's SBIR program to develop a novel isogeometric analysis based high fidelity finite element analysis toolkit to model complex 3D structural components. GEM and Carnegie Mellon University are working together to develop an efficient design-through-analysis platform for design and certification of advanced structures and their sustainment.

Naval Air awarded GEM a Phase II Task Order 3 contract

Naval Air awarded GEM a Phase II Task Order 3 contract to develop and advance defect/damage characterization technologies and modeling capabilities for composite components with manufacturing defects and service induced damages under multi-axial loading. A combined experimental and numerical study is performed by multiple team members including universities, government labs, and small companies.
