On August 31, 2021, Global Engineering and Materials, Inc. was awarded a contract under a NAVAIR Phase II SBIR program to developĀ  a novel buffet load response and fatigue damage assessment tool for an aircraft using combined analytical , test-derived, and instrumentation data. The research will help NAVAIR greatly improve the understanding of buffet formation and identify the key factors that contribute to buffet occurrence. The developed software and the generated flight simulation data can be used to evaluate the residual life of an aircraft under multiaxial random loading spectrum.
